It turns out that the problem was not on the waves side at all.
I am glad to tell you that after an extensive mucking aound/tweaking/research/sleepless night I was able to install all of the waves plugins without any problems. Do you have any suggestions? My UAC is off too. I tried the XPsp2 compatibility mode also. I've been trying to install platinum on vista32 without success. and I`m too still waiting for official Vista support by Waves.
But you will only recieve the update if you covered under WUP (paying support costs year by year). The newer plugs show up in none app (Sony Acid 6, FL Studio, Project5 and soon Sonar7 PE ) and it seems to be a problem with registering the plugs as DirectX plugins. Only older ones (Platinum Bundle, 元, Mastering Bunde) are running (if you start the Installer in compatibility mode XPSP2). Your are running Vista: non of my newer Waves plugs with newer Interfaces (VSeries, API Bundle, 元 LL etc.) is running under Vista. When you press the letter “R” to begin recording in audacity, it’ll automatically record from both channels coming through the USB input you’ll get both amps they’ll be in separate recording bars and then you can go and split the bars to two separate mono channels and then you can pan one channel to the left one channel to the right out effects on channel 1 different effects on channel 2 the options are limitless it is so freaking cool.Compatibilty with sonar 7 is not your most important question here in this case. signal2 > pedals (compressor, tube screamer, MXR FOD, MXR Carbon Copy) > Fender SuperChamp XD 15W tube amp (w/ digital modeling & effects) > channel2 on UM22.

Also change a setting to allow 2 channel input.
I had to change a system setting in the Windows Sound Control to turn off Audio Enhancements for the microphone. signal2 > pedals (compressor, tube screamer, MXR FOD, MXR Carbon Copy) > Fender SuperChamp XD 15W tube amp (w/ digital modeling & effects) > channel2 on UM2.Īudacity for DAW (really simple and quick to learn & start recording). signal1 > effects/modeler stomp box (2001 Yamaha DG Stomp) > Monoprice Stage Right 15W tube amp > channel1 on Behringer UM2 audio interfaceĢ. The song was better than my espresso, incidentally.ġ. And, unfortunately, reinforces the sad fact that I am my own limiting factor… I speculate that this might in fact be that which gives it some honest immediacy that allows it to transcend (for me) its modern pop nature.Īnyway, interesting example of what can be done with not much gear. Maybe?Īpparently it was recorded initially on his iPhone (I’m presuming iOS GB) with him singing and playing guitar and then produced over FaceTime. No link either, folk can Google it if they want.Īnyway, it’s a total modern pop song, so, yeah, meh in many ways to me.īut it does have some charm, which is what relates to this thread. That’s about all I’m going to say on the title and lyrical content, as it concerns the temporally topically verboten. But I just accidentally heard his song Six Feet Apart while in a Starbucks toilet. So, I’d never even heard of, um, wait, I need to look him up again… Hey Deaf Roadie I’m posting this not out of cantankerous, relentless, obstreperous belligerence, but just as it is (I think) interesting and relates to this thread.
